Samvatsari is one of the most important holy days in Jainism and marks the conclusion of the Paryushan festival. Known as the Day of Forgiveness, it is a time for self-reflection, repentance, and reconciliation. Jains seek forgiveness for any harm caused knowingly or unknowingly by saying“Micchami Dukkadam,” which means, “May my misdeeds be forgiven.” This practice promotes compassion, humility, and peaceful relationships with all living beings.
